The ‘Cyberkids’ guide was created by high school students from our Future Tech Leaders program to help elementary school kids navigate technology safely and confidently.

About Cyberkids

This booklet is an interactive guide to technology and internet safety for children. The guide covers basic technology use and introduces essential online safety tips for kids to protect themselves online.

You can print out this colorful guide for kids to read through on their own or use it as an opportunity to review it with them and introduce the conversation on online safety.

The Team Behind ‘Cyberkids’

The ‘Cyberkids’ booklet was created as the final project for the team assigned to Cybersecurity. Our projects were designed to use the technology learned in class to solve a social issue affecting their community.

Cyberkids Creators: Cristal Hernandez, Isis Mendez, Jaqueline Mendoza, & Axel Sanchez

Inspiration for the Booklet

Members of the Cyberkids team drew from their own experiences as children interacting with strangers online. One of our students gave an anecdote at our project showcase about how she gave her address to a stranger while playing an online game. The team was inspired to create this guide to keep kids safe and educate them on safe online practices to avoid this kind of scenario.
